<p><b>ABOUT US </b></p><p>Trinity Anglican College is a co-educational school with over 1310 students from Kindergarten to Year 12. Our Strategic Vision focuses on the holistic wellbeing of a student </p><p><b>THE ROLE </b></p><p>The Head of Technical and Applied Studies (TAS) fulfils a key role within the Senior School and is responsible for, under the direction of the Dean of Studies and Head of Senior School, the educational leadership within the TAS Department and wider College community. This leadership encompasses curriculum, pedagogy and professional growth and development of staff. The Head of TAS is responsible for leading and transforming a team of talented educators to enable best practice learning and engagement for students in Years 7-12. </p><p>A love of teaching and learning, initiative, an optimistic outlook, great organisational skills, excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to professional learning are all pre-requisites for the position. </p><p><b>QUALIFICATIONS </b></p><p>- A recognised teaching qualification with a specialisation in a TAS related field. </p><p>- Post-graduate qualifications in educational leadership would be advantageous. </p><p>- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC) and National Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC). </p><p>- Current First Aid certificate is desirable. </p><p><b>EXPERIENCE </b></p><p>It is anticipated that the Head of TAS would have all or some of the following: </p><ul><li>Teaching qualifications and experience with a specialisation in TAS and/or post-graduate studies in a TAS related field. </li><li>Experience teaching TAS to a wide variety of Year groups, including Stage 4 Mandatory Technology, Stage 5 Electives and Stage 6. </li><li>Experience in a faith-based school setting and a willingness to support and contribute to the Anglican ethos and values of Trinity Anglican College. </li><li>Attendance at appropriate professional development activities relating to teaching. </li><li>Experience and knowledge of current practices in TAS education and trends. </li><li>Awareness of any new NESA syllabus documents in TAS. </li></ul><p><b>KEY SELECTION CRITERIA </b></p><p>The Key Selection Criteria that will be used to select the Head of TAS and must be addressed in the application are: </p><ul><li>Qualifications in, and experience teaching, TAS up to and including Stage 6. </li><li>Knowledge of current educational issues, particularly in TAS education. </li><li>Ability to lead a team effectively and positively in a school environment. </li><li>Ability to plan, implement and review academic programs. </li><li>Ability to communicate clearly, effectively and diplomatically with all stakeholders in a school environment to achieve positive outcomes. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to work positively with staff and parents of the College. </li></ul><p><b>STATEMENT OF COMMITMENT TO CHILD SAFETY </b></p><p>Trinity Anglican College is committed to being a Child Safe organisation.
