St Charles’ Catholic Primary School,Waverley Diverse Learning Needs Specialist Teacher - Term 3 2018 **Key Selection criteria:** * Have experience in implementing contemporary learning practices that enhance student achievement and performance in learning across KLAs. * Be able to work effectively and cohesively with the diverse learning team. * Demonstrate experience teaching students who have special educational needs and a range of learning disabilities. * Be able to collaborate with colleagues to build genuine and professional relationships and to promote shared commitment and a sense of achievement. * Have the capacity to effectively communicate with parents and carers, students and staff members. * Demonstrate the ability to support the modification of education programs and assessment to provide for the learning needs of individual students. * Have knowledge of the processes and requirements for the preparation and updating of the Personalised Planning Tool * Understand the Disability Standards for Educations 2005 and the compliance requirements for schools. **Formal Qualifications:** * Qualifications and/or suitable Experience in Special Education is essential. * A minimum of 5 years' experience as a teacher in a range of classroom settings.
