<strong>Location: Central Regional Office, Leichhardt</strong> <strong>Commencement Date: Immediate commencement</strong> <strong>Closing Date: 6 July 2018</strong> Sydney Catholic Schools (SCS) is responsible for the leadership of 152 Catholic primary and secondary schools across the Archdiocese of Sydney which educates over 70,000 students. <!--more--> We are currently looking for a <strong>School Fee Support Officer</strong> to join our high-performance team in a fast-paced and diverse environment. This position will support the work of the Regional Relationship Managers in assisting schools in the effective and efficient collection of school fees. The responsibility of this position is to make the first contact and commence building the relationship with the fee payer; to understand their financial situation and to calculate a manageable payment plan and then manage the relationship going forward. Assist the School Fee Support Unit Co-Ordinator with any other administrative tasks as required. <strong>Responsibilities include but not limited to:</strong> <ul> <li>Have initial contact with the Fee Payer and negotiate a payment plan</li> <li>Managers in line with SCS School Fee Policy and Fee Matrix</li> <li>Follow up outstanding documentation for above</li> <li>Manage Reminder List Report</li> <li>Prepare correspondence to debtors in relation to Full and Partial Bursaries/Approval/Decline Letters. Debt recovery letters</li> <li>Escalate complex matters to Regional Relationship Manager</li> <li>Communicate with School Principals and Finance Staff in relation to matters managed by your region under the guidance of the Regional Relationship Manager</li> <li>Interact with Debt Collection Companies from time to time</li> </ul> <strong>Selection Criteria:</strong> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in education administration or debt management</li> <li>Understanding of current collection management issues</li> <li>Confirmed recent experience in a debt collection environment with emphasis on customer experience, ideally in a Not for Profit Organisation</li> <li>Building genuine and productive relationships with stakeholders including debtors</li> <li>Demonstrated influencing and negotiation skills for internal and external stakeholders</li> <li>Strong analytical, verbal and written communication skills</li> <li>Ability to use problem solving skills</li> <li>Attention to detail</li> <li>Ability to meet strict deadlines</li> <li>Highly developed organisational skills and good record keeping</li> <li>Ability to work in a team and work under limited direction</li> <li>Advanced PC skills including Excel, Powerpoint, MS Word Google Docs and Flowcharts</li> <li>Good decision making skills</li> </ul> <strong>APPLICATION PROCESS</strong> Applicants must formalise their application by submitting a completed <a href="https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B4ziDt6P1DwQdXU0WWsyaktFRjA">SCS application form</a>, resume and a covering letter outlining their motivation and experience to qualify for the position to <a href="mailto:hr.recruitment@syd.catholic.edu.au">hr.recruitment@syd.catholic.edu.au</a> <strong>WORKING WITH CHILDREN CLEARANCE</strong> This role is classified as a child related work and therefore we require a working with children clearance to be completed prior to your commencement with us. <strong>OUR MISSION</strong> Celebrating Being Catholic in Australia Ensuring Quality Teaching and Learning Making a Difference in our World
