This position requires an enthusiastic, talented professional to inspire the Visual Arts learning area. The role is a temporary 0.9 position commencing mid Term 3, 2018 through until end of Term 4, 2018. St Patrick?s Marist College is a coeducational Years 7 to 12 high school school following in the Marist Tradition.

**Criteria** The successful applicant will: • Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life; • Be an experienced teacher of Junior Visual Arts; • See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning; • Work collaboratively with Leaders of Learning KLA and peers to design inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding; • Lead the development of social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student; • Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning; • Lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students; • Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin: - inquiry-based learning (including PBL), creativity and critical thinking, - responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems; • Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements; • Have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning WHS and student welfare; • Have classification with the CEDP or be in the process of obtaining; • Have a current Working with Children Check.
