St. Narsai Assyrian Christian College is a Christian Independent School, located in south west Sydney area. The school has brand new and state of the arts facilities and caters for around 670 students from year 7 to 12. Students, parents and staff share a sense of faith, community, respect and service. Students are supported to achieve excellent academic outcomes. The College seeks to appoint an experienced and qualified 7-12 Science Teacher (Biology & Physics). This is a full-time permanent position and will commence Week 2 Term 3, 2018. **Position Requirements** * Demonstrated ability, and experience, in Stage 6 subjects Biology and Physics * Supporting the Christian values of the school in teaching by being a role model to students. * High-quality classroom teaching skills, including the integration of ICT in teaching and learning, and with the ability to cater to individual student differences; * Ability, commitment, and understanding of the special needs of new arrivals and EAL/D Students * Commitment and capacity to actively contribute to a broad range of school activities as a member of the school team; * High level of communication and interpersonal skills when relating to students, parents and other teachers and ability to work in a team environment **Essential** * NESA Accreditation to teach * Working with Children Check Interested applicants, as part of their written application, must include the following, and should be forwarded to Janet Jammo (HR Manager) at janetm@shaps.nsw.edu.au: 1.
