<p>The Executive Director of Sydney Catholic Schools invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced personnel for the following position:</p><ul><li><b>Inner Western Region</b></li><li><b>Leader of Learning : Cluster Coach-Authentic Learning </b></li><li><b>Commencement date: 29 January 2019</b></li><li><b>Closing Date: Friday 5 October 2018</b></li></ul><p>Sydney Catholic Schools is seeking to employ a full time Cluster Coach to support Authentic Learning in a Primary School Cluster within the Inner Western Region.  The successful applicants will take up this position of Cluster Coach: Authentic Learning in January 2019.</p><p>The position will essentially be based at the Inner Western Region Lidcombe but will involve travel and working within a cluster of schools in the Inner Western Region.  Accountability for this exciting and creative role is to the Regional Director.  The Cluster Coach will be appointed an Inner Western Region Primary School Cluster and will work closely with the Primary Consultant to support teachers and leaders in individual schools and clusters in the development of authentic practice through the Australian Curriculum.</p><p>The purpose of the role is to support the Primary Regional Consultant for each cluster in:</p><ul><li>Working in partnership with Leadership Teams in leading the school  improvement agenda</li><li>Focusing schools on improvement of student learning outcomes in literacy and numeracy</li><li>Promoting the importance of authentic teaching and learning in the context of the Australian Curriculum</li><li>Developing a shared understanding of authentic teaching and learning</li><li>Building teacher capacity in partnership with the school leadership team</li><li>Enabling an effective collaborative culture for improvement which incorporates goal setting, data analysis and high expectations for student learning in classrooms</li><li>Developing skills to have open to learning conversations</li></ul><p>Qualifications/ Experience Essential:</p><ul><li>Demonstrated commitment to the mission of Catholic education</li><li>Four Year Trained classification in teaching</li><li>Eight years teaching experience</li><li>Evidence of effectiveness in a primary school leadership position</li><li>Deep knowledge and understanding of the K-6 Curriculum</li><li>Highly developed  interpersonal skills and negotiation skills</li><li>Sound understanding of the principles of adult learning</li><li>Well developed organisational and communication skills</li><li>SCS Mathematical Expertise and Excellence (Desirable)</li></ul><p>Salary and Conditions:</p><ul><li>This is a 48 week a year position with 8 eight days identified for Professional Development (last two days of each pupil vacation period).
