The teacher at St John’s Lutheran Primary School supports the mission and ministry of the School as he/she competently teaches and pastorally cares for students. It is expected that applicants have an active faith and are able to demonstrate a high degree of competency and skill in teaching in a 21st Century classroom environment. The classroom teacher is responsible for functional areas, including, but not limited to: • Specialist teaching knowledge and skills in Japanese language teaching • Planning, teaching, assessing and reporting the Australian Curriculum • High level pastoral care and support of students • Actively support the school’s Christian ethos demonstrated by way of positive, people-focused interactions
