Agriculture Teacher required in a rural day/boarding school in the Riverina. Position commences immediately.

<p>We are looking for an enthusiastic, innovative and team-focused Agriculture teacher. Applicants need to be well versed in contemporary teaching methodologies and the use of IT in the classroom.  Applicants <strong>must </strong>be able to demonstrate a strong commitment to the Christian ethos of the school and participate in school events outside of school hours.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Selection Criteria:</strong></p> <p>The successful applicant will;</p> <ul><li>Demonstrate an awareness of educational innovation and experience in the management of change within a school environment</li><li>Demonstrate a capacity to develop sustained and trusting relationships with staff members, students and parents</li><li>Demonstrate a capacity to be well-organised and thorough in the completion of tasks and responsibilities</li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to personal professional development</li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the ethos of Lutheran School Education</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to respond to the demands of working as part of a team in an independent school setting</li><li>Demonstrate an ability to support extracurricular activities </li></ul> <div> </div> <div>Subject-Specific Requirements (Agriculture)</div> <div> <ul><li>Liaise with local farmers, organise field trips and visits, participate in local events and community organisations - eg. Landcare</li><li>Willingness to attend events and shows after hours/weekends</li><li>Organise annual/biannual Senior Agriculture Tour</li><li>Plan and implement innovative and engaging ICT based lessons</li><li>Review existing programs at Stage 5 to include focus on new agricultural technologies, alternative agriculture, experimental trials etc so as to engage students in agriculture and prepare students for dynamic careers in the Agricultural sector</li><li>Liaise with the rural committee to ensure development of agriculture programs</li><li>Liaise with Maintenance/Grounds staff for planning and management of School Farm</li><li>Successful applicant must have real life farm experience with both cattle and sheep enterprises</li><li>Truck/bus license is preferable</li></ul> </div> <div> </div> <div>Applicants must be registered to teach in NSW.  A position description is available by contacting Karen Lowe on the contact details below.</div> <div>St Paul&#39;s College will contribute towards relocation expenses.</div> <div> </div>
