Teacher – English and Music (Years 8 – 12) - Full time contract position (12 months) - Located at our Indooroopilly School - Work with a diverse group of students

We ask our students and employees to embrace our motto of ‘Plus Ultra’ and contribute to Challenging Minds | Nurturing Hearts | Building Futures. </p><p>We are seeking an English and Music Teacher to work with students across our Junior High and Senior School (years 8 – 12) on a 12-month contract (commencing Term 3, 2019) at our Indooroopilly school. </p><p>The successful person will teach years 8 - 11 English, as well as Composite Year 12 QCAA Music &amp; Year 11 IB Music. </p><p><b>About you: </b><br /></p><ul><li>Have demonstrated excellence in teaching English and Music with a high degree of teaching and musical competence </li><li>You possess excellent interpersonal and are able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff </li><li>You are able to build and maintain quality relationships in all aspects of your work </li><li>You are able to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students. </li><li>You are a highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes </li><li>You have a demonstrated understanding of current issues in education and can implement strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes </li><li>You embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional practice and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areas </li><li>Working with multiple stakeholders and collaborating across teams is motivating.
