Redeemer Lutheran College is seeking an experienced teacher to take on this permanent part-time teaching position (0.5 FTE), commencing 1 January 2020.

<p>We welcome applications from individuals who are curious, courageous and Christ-led and have a genuine commitment to professional and personal growth and development. The successful applicants will be able to: </p><ul><li>Support the Christian Ethos of the College; </li><li>Demonstrate excellence in the development and teaching of EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS programs in a Year 7 to 12 setting; </li><li>Demonstrate an understanding of English assessment and band scaling </li><li>Have a strong working knowledge in matters of pedagogy, curriculum, assessment and the use of ICT’s; </li><li>Work cooperatively with teachers, parents and other members of the Redeemer community; </li><li>Provide excellent pastoral care to students; </li><li>Be registered to teach in Queensland; </li><li>Hold a post graduate qualification in TESOL. </li></ul><p>Applications should include: </p><ul><li>a current curriculum vitae; </li><li>contact details; </li><li>a copy of professional qualifications in Teaching EAL/D - in particular TESOL specialist qualification; </li><li>a copy of your current registration card from Queensland College of Teachers; </li><li>Names and contact details of three (3) referees. </li><li>300 words maximum response per selection criteria (see below): </li></ul><p>Your response should address the following selection criteria: </p><ul><li><b>SC.1</b>: <i>Proven capacity to assess secondary students English levels and develop and deliver individual and group programs including EAL/D, ELT and ELICOS;</i> </li><li><b>SC.2</b>: <i>Ability to enhance student learning through effective pedagogical strategies and ICT&#39;s; </i></li><li><b>SC.3</b>: <i>Capacity to build strong partnerships for learning between home and school; </i></li><li><b>SC.4</b>: <i>Willingness to support the Christian ethos of the college. </i></li></ul><p>Redeemer Lutheran College is committed to the well being and safety of students in its care. It is set in peaceful leafy grounds and has parking available on site. </p><p> </p><p>Redeemer Lutheran College was established in 1980 and has grown to a P–12 college with an enrolment of over 1,000 students across two sub-schools (Junior School: Prep-Year 6, Senior School: Years 7-12). </p><p> Redeemer is a co-educational Christian school owned and operated by the Lutheran Church of Australia, Queensland District. As a school of the church, it holds that its fundamental role is to offer its students a sound and integrated education within the Christian tradition. Redeemer&#39;s motto is: Our Hope is in Christ.
