This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic and energetic EALD team to support the language proficiency development of the school's EALD students. The role includes working with groups of students, co-teaching, in-class support, collaborative planning and building teacher pedagogical capacity (in EALD). Position commences 28th January 2020.

<p>The successful applicant should meet and demonstrate the following criteria:</p><p> </p><ul><li>Practising Catholic </li><li>Experience and training in relevant EALD qualifications or willingness to undertake such </li><li>Proven effectiveness as a classroom teacher in the area of Literacy </li><li>Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of the Catholic School </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of the needs of the EALD learner and of EALD pedagogy </li><li>Understanding of contemporary pedagogy including skills in the use of technology in the classroom</li><li>Ability to work co-operatively as part of a team </li><li>Understanding of, and experience in using data to inform teaching and learning</li><li>Ability to bring joy and passion to the learning environment</li><li>Religious Education qualifications according to Sydney Catholic Schools Policy </li><li>NESA number </li><li>WWCC documentation </li><li>SALT Compliance Certificate </li></ul><p> </p><p><br /></p>
