<p><strong>Core Role Purpose</strong></p> <p>The College is seeking a suitably qualified and innovative literacy specialist to support school-based literacy initiatives, goals and needs. The successful candidate will be a central figure in the College&#39;s professional learning model and take carriage of the College&#39;s three year literacy plan connected to the Annual Improvement Plan. The candidate must have the capacity and capabilities to develop relationships with middle leaders in support of Key Learning Area Specific literacy needs and collectively build the capacity of faculty teachers. </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b><br /></p><p>The successful applicant will have: </p><ul><li>commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support faith formation of students </li><li>appropriate tertiary qualifications and approval to teach in NSW </li><li>demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices that provide a rich environment that caters for diversity and academic rigour </li><li>a commitment to academic excellence </li><li>an understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </li><li>highly developed interpersonal skills demonstrating an ability to effectively communicate with parents, students and staff </li><li>exhibit knowledge of emerging technologies and the ability to integrate these into a wide range of curriculum applications </li><li>ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice </li><li>a willingness to be involved in the College&#39;s co-curricular activities </li></ul><p><b> Application Process: </b></p><p>Please email your resume and a cover letter of introduction that addresses the essential criteria to joanne.kessey&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au by the closing date.
