Playford College seeks applications from suitably qualified and an experienced Grounds and Maintenance Person for a part time position commencing Monday 20/01/2020. The role is to assist with maintaining the College grounds and to complete minor maintenance and logistic tasks.

<p>Playford College seeks applications from suitably qualified and experienced Maintenance/ Grounds Persons for a Part time position commencing 20/01/2020. </p><p>About the role </p><p>Duties include but are not limited to the following: </p><p>• Maintain the grounds to a high standard of appearance. </p><p>• Assist with setting up and dismantling of areas as required. </p><p>• Liaise with College’s cleaners to ensure the College grounds are tidy and free of obstacles or unwanted items. </p><p>• Ensure that work is done in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety obligations and is carried out in a manner as to not interfere with the College&#39;s activities. </p><p>• Ensure that all equipment for use in the College is maintained to a high standard. </p><p>• Perform general maintenance work, which may include trade accredited skills. </p><p>• Provide assistance to qualified trades persons in building and furniture maintenance as required. </p><p>• Other related duties, within the capabilities of the Grounds Person, as directed by the Principal or Property Manager. </p><p> </p><p>Skills and experience </p><p>The successful applicant will possess the following skills and experience : </p><p>• General gardening and/or maintenance experience. </p><p>• Knowledge and skill in operating small machinery or powered hand tools, lawn mower etc. </p><p>• Have demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. </p><p>• Have the ability to follow directions, prioritise and meet set deadlines </p><p>• Have the ability to effectively communicate with a range of people from within the community and external tradesmen. </p><p>• Good knowledge of safe work practices and WHS requirements. </p><p>• Valid and current SA Drivers Licence. </p><p>• Computer literacy. </p><p>The successful applicant will also need to undergo a medical assessment and hold a DHS Working with Children Check before commencing duties </p><p>How to Apply: </p><p>Applicants need to: </p><p>• attach a cover letter addressing the above-mentioned criteria. </p><p>• attach their resume. </p><p>• attach any relevant qualifications. </p><p>• provide contact details of three professional referees </p><p>• have completed, or be in the process of obtaining, their Working with Children Check. </p><p>• Email application to enquiries&#64;playfordcollege.sa.edu.au </p><p>For more specific information about the position, please contact Playford College Admin, Mrs. Akbari on 08 82523044. </p><p><br /></p>
