<p>Oakhill College is an Independent Catholic Secondary School conducted in the Lasallian tradition, with an enrolment of 1800 students, boys Years 7 to 10, co-educational in Years 11 and 12. Oakhill College is located in Castle Hill, NSW, and offers a wide range of subject choices and extra-curricular activities. </p><p> An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic teacher to join the College’s Science faculty. Applications are invited from suitably qualified applicants for the following temporary position commencing in Term 2, 2020. </p><p><b>Science Teacher </b></p><p><b>Temporary 0.6 or 0.8 FTE Position </b></p><p><b>Terms 2-4, 2020 </b></p><p><b>(maximum term parental leave position) </b></p><p> We seek to appoint an innovative and highly skilled teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience. The successful applicant will have knowledge of current developments in teaching and learning and a passion and enthusiasm for teaching. <b>It would be advantageous if the successful applicant was available to work 5 days a week during Term 3, 2020 and 3 or 4 days a week during Terms 2 and 4, 2020.  </b></p><p><b> Desirable experience:  </b></p><p>• Ability to teach stage 4 and 5 Science; </p><p>• Ability to program and set assessments; </p><p>• Managing student behaviour. </p><p>The successful applicant will: </p><p>• Hold a degree with a major in Science; </p><p>• Demonstrate a clear understanding and commitment to the Mission of the Catholic School; </p><p>• Be supportive of the Lasallian ethos of the College; </p><p>• Be an experienced, innovative and engaging team member; </p><p>• Teach with excellence, professionalism and commitment; </p><p>• Adhere to Safeguarding Standards of the College; </p><p>• Be committed to professional growth and development of excellence. </p><p> Oakhill College offers staff a dynamic, collaborative and supportive environment.
