<p>Trinity Lutheran College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian co-educational college and an International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP.)  Located in Ashmore on Queensland’s beautiful Gold Coast, it also offers an on-site long day Early Learning Centre for children from 2.5 to 5 years old. </p><p> </p><p>Due to retirement of our current Director, we are seeking an experienced Early Learning Centre Director with the vision, commitment and skills for effective leadership and management of Little Stars.  This position is a full-time fixed term position for a period of three years and will commence on Monday 7 December 2020  to allow for a 2-week handover and training with our current Director. </p><p> </p><p>The Director of the Early Learning Centre is a key management position within the college and will be mentored and supported by our Head of Campus, Early and Junior Years.   </p><p> </p><p>Overview of the position: </p><p>The Director’s role is to oversee the operations of the Early Learning Centre, including oversight of the Outside School Hours Care and Playgroup services which are an integral part of Trinity Lutheran College.  This includes the day to day running of the Centre, ensuring a high-quality program is offered, partnerships with families are developed and utilisation is high.   </p><p> </p><p>The Director will oversee operations and programs ensuring developmental stages and their cognitive, emotional, social, behavioural, physical and other needs of all children are met.  Additionally the Director will manage physical environments, facilities, programs and materials, model appropriate professional behaviour and liaise with government, college and other relevant organisations.   </p><p> </p><p>The successful candidate will have previous experience in managing a long day centre.  Key selection criteria include:  </p><p>• Committed to exploring and growing their Christian faith  </p><p>• Hold a minimum of Bachelor of Early Childhood or Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services  </p><p>• Previous experience in managing a Children’s Service including overseeing operations and programs, developmental stages and their cognitive, emotional, social, behavioural, physical and other needs </p><p>• A working knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law (2011) and Regulations (2011) and the National Quality Framework Assessment and Rating System </p><p>• Demonstrated skills in communication and consultation, including the capacity to work effectively with people from all sectors of the children’s services community and the college </p><p>• Proven open minded, innovative and creative individual with a focus on continuous improvement of the Centre </p><p>• An understanding of the International Baccalaureate’s Primary Years Program is highly regarded </p><p>• As per the &#34;no card, no start&#34; policy, the successful applicant must have a current Blue Card prior to commencement</p><p> </p><p>For further information about our college and to view the position description please visit our website: and follow the prompts to the employment section. </p><p> </p><p>Applications with covering letter, resume including a copy of QCT registration and relevant qualifications, church minister reference or Christian character reference names and contact details of three referees are to be emailed to the Principal at careers&#64;   </p><p> </p><p>Any further queries about these positions can be directed to Kara Dalgliesh, Human Resources and Policy Officer by calling (07) 5556 8248 or emailing careers&#64;  </p><p>Applications close 4.00pm, Monday 3 August 2020 </p><p>Trinity Lutheran College is an equal opportunity employer </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p><br /></p>
