<p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for this permanent position commencing on 2 November 2020. </p><p>Aquinas Catholic College is a Systemic Co-educational College located in the Sutherland Shire with an enrolment of 1,086 students and more than 80 teaching staff and 25 support staff. Established in 1993 the College is a faith based educational community centred on Jesus Christ, enlivened by the Gospels and with the model of St Thomas Aquinas as a faithful learner. </p><p> </p><p><b>Essential Criteria: </b></p><ul><li>A commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, religious, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life </li><li>Post-secondary qualification in Business, Accounting and/or Financial Management </li><li>Minimum 5 years financial/business/commercial experience </li><li>Demonstrated experience and effectiveness as a team leader and/or supervisor </li><li>Experience in facilities management, contract management and budget management </li></ul><p><b>Desirable Criteria: </b></p><ul><li>Minimum 3 years’ experience working with children/working in a school. </li><li>Experience as a Workplace Health and Safety Officer </li><li>Experience in property/project management </li></ul><p> <b>The Business Manager will: </b></p><ul><li>Provide higher level business and financial support to the Principal and school, including ongoing periodic reports highlighting areas for improvement </li><li>Implement clear and effective process in the school to aid the Principal in effective operational management </li><li>Ensure financial records for the school are maintained in line with SCS and current audit policies (specifically in accordance with the Education Act 1990 s83c) </li><li>Prepare management reports for the Principal and School Finance Committee on a weekly and ongoing basis on incoming revenue, outgoing payments, school fee collection rates and debt management, site maintenance liabilities and insurances </li><li>Provide effective WHS management and coordination of any repairs at the school </li><li>Ensure effective management of school support and operational staff by assisting the Principal with human resource management including the preparation and maintenance of effective role descriptions, ongoing performance management and accurate performance of hours </li><li>Coordinate contractors on the school site in accordance with SCS policy </li></ul><p> Applicants for the above position should be sent to the Principal - principal&#64;aquinasmenai.catholic.edu.au </p><p> Applications should include the contact details of three referees (including your current and previous employer).
