Provide care and support for students living in the Girls’ Boarding House Permanent part-time between 30-37.5 hours per week during school term times.

<p><b>About the role </b></p><p>We are seeking Boarding Supervisors to provide care and support for students living in the Girls’ Boarding House. In this role you will be expected to provide support for the Boarding program in supervising boarding students. It is an expectation of this position to sleepover in the boarding house 2-3 nights per week to be on-call and to respond to emergency situations. </p><p> <b>Key responsibilities are:</b> </p><ul><li>Undertaking supervisory duty within the respective boarding area and in accordance with Duty of Care requirements </li><li>Supervision of girls’/boys’ boarding, which may include general oversight of the daily routine, tutoring of students, supervising students on excursions or other activities </li><li>Requirement to sleep-over in the boarding house 2-3 nights a week to be on-call for emergencies and responding to students care overnight on a rostered basis </li><li>Attending and supervising other boarding functions, such as House dinners, other House occasions and socials. </li><li>Being involved in the general care, guidance and discipline of all boarders both when on duty and when not on duty, when appropriate </li><li>Providing a friendly, supportive and positive example and influence for all boarding students </li><li>Informing the Head of Girls’ or Director of Boarding about all matters relating to boarding students, of which they should be aware </li><li>Working with other boarding staff in developing a House ethos and character which recognises the worth of each student as an individual and creates a sense of belonging for all members </li><li>Being supportive of the ethos and standards of the School as a whole </li></ul><p> Suitable candidates will need to demonstrate experience leading or supporting students. You will have excellent interpersonal skills, communicate effectively and have the ability to positively work and contribute to a team environment.
