<p>Our kindergarten is located in the central part of Murray Bridge, which is a Rural City of approximately 16,000 people, located 80 kilometres South East of Adelaide. We acknowledge that the kindergarten is built on the land of the Ngarrindjeri people and pay our respect to the Elders past and present. </p><p>Concordia Kindergarten has an enrolment of approximately 100 children, who attend for 30 hours per fortnight for 12 months prior to school. Our Centre capacity is capped at 64 children. We have the equivalent of 6 full time staff employed at our kindergarten. These currently include a Director, 2.6 FTE teachers, 2.4 FTE ECWs (Educators). Additional to this, we have pre-school support workers who are employed to work with children with additional needs.  <br /></p><p>Our kindergarten is a member of Lutheran Education South Australia Northern Territory and Western Australia (LESNW), who support us with provision of Professional support, advice, mentoring and financial oversight. </p><p>We are also part of the Lutheran Community in Murray Bridge, linked to Unity College, local Lutheran congregations (Christ Church, Holy Cross and Monarto Lutheran Churches). We are fortunate to have updated, spacious facilities and grounds which are well maintained by the staff, Kindergarten Council and parents of our kindergarten. </p><p><b>Our Mission Statement</b> <br /></p><p><i> ‘To provide a caring, nurturing and educational learning environment centred on God’s Love for everyone’. </i></p><p>All policies and practices of our kindergarten are underpinned by the mission statement. It drives our everyday interactions with children and families. <br /></p><p>We are a diverse kindergarten community that welcomes all enrolment enquiries. We are passionate about working closely with families, supporting each child to grow and develop to their maximum potential. </p><p>We believe that secure, strong relationships are the foundation to successful learning, which also supports the development of confidence, self-identity and sense of belonging in the children. </p><p>Our staff love their work and regularly engage in professional development, incorporating new ideas and learning into practice, to ensure that our program is current and meeting the needs of the children and families. </p><p>The Early Years Learning Framework is the core document that guides our curriculum planning, as we share a vision for all children to experience play-based learning that is engaging and builds success in their learning. </p><p>We incorporate the Christian Studies Curriculum into our planning across the week. This is integrated also into our everyday practice at kindy. </p><p>We work in close partnership with Unity College offering preschool to Year 12 Lutheran Education in Murray Bridge. Together with Unity, we have a buddy program that supports our partnership. </p><p>We also support families who choose other school options for their children, currently having 7 other feeder schools. </p><p>Our funding for staffing is through DfE. As a grant-funded kindergarten, We have a governing Council who support the Director in being responsible for all Professional Development of staff, resources and the maintaining of our own buildings and grounds. We are also generously supported by our kindergarten community. </p><p><b>Appointment of Director </b></p><p>This is a full time, five year contract position, commencing in Term 1, 2021. Preferably a Pastor of the Lutheran Church of Australia or a person able to comment on the applicant’s spiritual leadership qualities. </p>
