Marist College is looking for a dynamic coordinator to lead the learning and teaching of the Marist College Junior School (Years 4-6). The Head of Learning and Teaching in the Junior School is a significant leadership position, responsible for the implementation of the curriculum for over 400 boys. Along with the Assistant Head of School - Learning and Teaching and Assistant Head of School - Junior School, the Coordinator will drive the key strategic directions and initiatives of the College in improving learning in the Junior School.

<p>Marist College is looking for a dynamic coordinator to lead the learning and teaching of the Marist College Junior School (Years 4-6). The Head of Learning and Teaching in the Junior School is a significant leadership position, responsible for the implementation of the curriculum for over 400 boys. Along with the Assistant Head of School - Learning and Teaching and Assistant Head of School - Junior School, the Coordinator will drive the key strategic directions and initiatives of the College in improving learning in the Junior School.  </p><p>The suitable applicant will have demonstrated experience in leading curriculum and be informed of current educational research. An ability to motivate and energise staff in pedagogical improvement is a necessity. The College is currently aligning their practices with a Knowledge-Rich approach, and experience in delivering a knowledge rich approach, including an understanding of the science of reading, is highly desirable.  </p><p>The Head of Learning and Teaching - Junior School is appointed by the Headmaster, in consultation with the Assistant Head of School - Junior School. The position involves classroom teaching with release time. The salary payable will be as for the appropriate teacher classification, plus an allowance negotiated at the time of appointment. </p><p><br /></p>
