<p>South Coast Baptist College is situated south of Perth in a growing Christian community providing quality education to over 1000 students from Kindy to Year 12. </p><ul><li><b>Start Date - January 2021 </b></li><li><b>Full-time FTE 1.0 </b></li></ul><p>The Head of Department will be a visionary educator who is responsible for leadership and management of the department. They will keep abreast of research in learning and teaching, including approaches, pedagogy, student engagement, learning theory and knowledge. The Head of Department will work actively to build a collegial team of staff within the department, and will promote the learning area within the school community of students, parents and staff.. <br /></p><p><b>Essential </b></p><ul><li>Skill or ability to provide the services outlined in the main duties and details of functions as detailed earlier in this Position Description <br /></li><li>Significant demonstrated excellence in teaching and an excellent understanding of the Western Australian Curriculum, ATAR and General courses </li><li>Ability to integrate technology into teaching strategies </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills across a range of levels including: parents, students, staff and Administration </li><li>Ability to contribute positively to the ethos and culture of South Coast Baptist College </li><li>Experience in differentiation for higher ability students </li><li>Excellent communication skills </li><li>It is essential that all applicants are practising Christians, regularly attending church </li></ul><p><b> APPLICATIONS CLOSE ON TUESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2020</b></p>
