<p> </p><p><b>Lutheran Ormeau Rivers District School (LORDS) </b></p><p><b>Junior School Band Tutor </b></p><p><b>(3&#43; Hours) commencing January 2021</b></p><p> </p><p>The Lutheran Ormeau Rivers District School, known as “LORDS”, is a growing, co-educational Kindy - Year 12 Lutheran School situated in the rapidly developing corridor between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. LORDS is a community that focuses on learning and students reaching their potential in a Christ-centred environment. </p><p> Set on a beautiful 23-hectare site that includes 11 hectares of natural bushland, LORDS is the newest Lutheran School in Queensland and is part of a quality network of over 80 schools and colleges throughout Australia. </p><p> We are now seeking application for a passionate, committed and service-centred Junior School Band Tutor who has the necessary skills, energy and talents to be part of a growing school. </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p>The role will be responsible for leading Year 5 and 6 students in a classroom brass, woodwind and percussion band setting including the following: </p><p> </p><p>• Teaching instrumental skills across a range of instruments </p><p>• Coordinating sessions with an instrumental assistant </p><p>• Developing and growing a program to engage students in Year 5 and 6 </p><p>• Preparing an end of semester showcase for parents </p><p>• Promoting the program to younger grades through in-class performances </p><p>• Future development of a concert band for Year 7 and above </p><p> </p><p>There is opportunity to teach individual lessons at LORDS to increase hours. These sessions are paid directly from the parents but supported by the school during regular school hours.
