The role is also to guide, support and deliver innovative sporting opportunities into the community.</p><p><b>Responsible to: </b>Head of Campus; Grace Innovation &amp; Enterprises Manager<br /></p><p><b>Position type: </b>Full-time, permanent position (teaching or non-teaching)<br /></p><p><b>Anticipated Commencement Date: </b>Friday 15 January 2021</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Qualifications, Certifications and Work-related Experience:<br /></b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated ability to lead school and/or community sporting endeavours;<br /></li><li>Demonstrated ability to coach/teach Year 7 – 12 students;</li><li>Capacity to devise innovative sporting/health and fitness opportunities;</li><li>Demonstrated competence and confidence in using a personal computer and relevant software packages e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, email and the College Administration packages;</li><li>Previous experience in a school education setting, highly desirable;</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of health and fitness issues in sport;</li><li>Working with Children accreditation (Blue Card) or ability to obtain this accreditation prior to commencement.</li></ul><p><b>Important: </b>All positions vacant require the applicant to address (in writing) the following Selection Criteria.  </p><p><br /></p><p><b>Selection Criteria common to all Teaching Staff positions:</b></p><p><b>Leadership: </b>Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills. Personal qualities such as confidence, flexibility, initiative, perseverance and resourcefulness necessary to contribute to a learning community which values teamwork and servant leadership<br /></p><p><b>Strategic Awareness:</b> Demonstrated strategic capabilities such as goal-setting and change management. In particular, the ability to implement effective reviews and adjustments to sporting programs, within school and/or community settings.</p><p><b>Organisational Management: </b>Demonstrated organisational capabilities needed to manage resources effectively and achieve agreed goals efficiently.</p><p><b>Calling: </b></p><ul><li>Practising member of a Christian denomination with active Christian faith and witness;</li><li>Identification with the ethos/orientation of the College as outlined in College publications and the Mission Statement;</li><li>Possession of appropriate attitudes, knowledge and skills needed to work together as a member of a team to fulfil the mission of the College;</li><li>Capacity to reflect on own performance and engage in targeted professional learning.</li></ul><p><b>Competence:</b></p><ul><li>Appropriate educational/sports management qualifications;</li><li>Demonstrated successful coaching and/or sport management experiences;</li><li>Demonstrated capacity to exercise leadership, to initiate projects and manage change successfully using collaboration.  Ability to inspire trust and followership in others;</li><li>High level interpersonal skills including effective written and verbal communication;</li><li>Appropriate Information Technology skills for role;</li><li>Strong understanding of relevant school and/or community sport requirements and procedures relating to secondary school students.</li></ul><p><b>Character:</b></p><ul><li>Evidence of essential personal qualities as outlined in the document, A Vision for Learners and Learning in Lutheran Schools (Lutheran Education Australia).</li></ul><p><b>Closing Date: </b> Close of business (5 pm EST), Monday 2 November 2020</p><p><br /></p><p><b>Application Instructions:</b><br /></p><p>Applicants are to submit their application in writing by email or hard copy.
