The College seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and well-qualified Outdoor Education teacher to live and work at the College’s Colo Outdoor Education Campus.

<p>Founded in 1881 by the Marist Brothers, St Joseph’s College is a boarding and day secondary boys school, whose Catholic identity is shaped by Marist spirituality and traditions. Governed by Marist Schools Australia, the College enrolment is 1,100 students. </p><p>The College seeks to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced, and well-qualified Outdoor Education teacher to live and work at the College’s Colo Outdoor Education Campus. This well-established centre is situated on 30 hectares bounded by the Colo River and the Wollemi National Park, with extensive facilities and equipment. </p><p>The Campus is the base for the College’s sequential Outdoor Education program for Years 7-9 and offers multiple program activities including an adventure ropes course, bushwalking, canoeing, mountain biking, group problem-solving initiatives, camping and expedition skills, rock climbing and orienteering. <br /></p><p>The successful applicant will have strong skills and proven teaching experience in several of the program activity areas; be committed to the value of Outdoor Education; pastoral care; curriculum development and have the personal attributes to teach in a close-knit professional team. </p><p>Appointees must be supportive of the Catholic ethos and traditions of the College and give witness to its values. <br /></p><p>Onsite accommodation will be provided as part of this position. </p><p>Further information, including a comprehensive role description, is available on the College website www.joeys.org or by contacting the Coordinator of the Colo Outdoor Education Campus, Mr Paul Bryant, on (02) 4565 9246 or colo&#64;joeys.org <br /></p><p>Applications should contain a cover letter, full curriculum vitae including university transcripts, and the current contact details for three referees, including the current employer.
