Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

The role is &nbsp;permanent full time commencing Term 1, 2021.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>Position criteria:&nbsp; </strong>The successful applicant will:</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrate a strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, academic and pastoral dimension of College life.</li> <li>Is accredited to teach Religious Education.</li> <li>Have experience teaching Junior and also the senior courses.</li> <li>See themselves as learners and be committed to ongoing professional learning;</li> <li>Work collaboratively with the Leader of Learning KLA and peers to design&nbsp;inquiry learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding;</li> <li>Lead the development of social skills and nurture the&nbsp;growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student;</li> <li>Integrate digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student learning and professional learning;</li> <li>Lead and use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students;</li> <li>Demonstrate understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin:</li> <li>inquiry-based learning (including pbL);</li> <li>creativity and critical thinking;</li> <li>responses to complex real-world questions and authentic problems;</li> <li>Know and apply NESA and Catholic Education, Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) requirements</li> <li>Have demonstrated the understanding and application of the whole school policies and procedures concerning including Codes of Conduct, WHS and student wellbeing..</li> </ul> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p><strong>Closing date:</strong>&nbsp;6th November, 2020</p> <p><strong>&nbsp;</strong></p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p align="center">&nbsp;</p> </td> </tr> </tbody> </table> <p dir="ltr">&nbsp;</p> <p dir="ltr">Successful Candidates for all positions within the CEDP must have a valid Working With Children Check.
