Brigidine College is seeking to appoint an engaging and passionate teacher to join our dynamic, vibrant and highly successful Languages team. The applicant must be an enthusiastic, talented, teaching professional who desires to deepen student understanding and growth, and support the Head of Languages, to create a dynamic and vibrant 21st century learning environment. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the discipline of Italian as well as the ability to use this knowledge to challenge students with stimulating and engaging pedagogy. This is a part-time permanent position beginning 27 January 2021.

<p>The successful applicant must have a desire and commitment to engage students in the love of learning of Italian.</p><p><b>Key Selection Criteria</b>:</p><ul><li>Commitment to Catholic Education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic Schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students</li><li>Commitment to academic excellence</li><li>Strong knowledge of the NESA curriculum and experience teaching Italian</li><li>Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary pedagogical practices including innovative assessment practices<br /></li><li>Demonstrated ability to work as part of a collaborative team</li><li>Expertise as a classroom practitioner and passion for delivering high quality lessons</li><li>High level communication and interpersonal skills</li><li>Enthusiasm and drive to contribute to, and build upon, the Languages programs</li><li>Ability to contribute to the further development of a dynamic school culture and contribute to learning teams that are committed to improving learning growth of all students.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b><br /></p><ul><li>Teaching qualifications</li></ul><p><b>Applications should include:</b></p><ul><li>Cover application letter of one (1) page addressed to the Principal, Mrs Sharyn Quirk</li><li>Written response addressing the Key Selection Criteria in a maximum of five (5) pages</li><li>A current curriculum vitae/resume outlining teaching, leadership and other experience relevant to the position</li><li>Contact details for three (3) referees</li><li>NESA registration number</li><li>Employee ID registration number with Sydney Catholic Schools or a commitment to obtaining one prior to interview.</li></ul><p>Brigidine College is a child safe organisation and all statutory checks and references are required prior to confirmation of employment. A NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) and a National Police Check will be required.</p><p>Brigidine College will require all Teaching Staff to provide evidence of their Tertiary Qualifications and Accreditation with NESA prior to any offer of employment.</p><p>Referees will only be contacted after initial interviews have been carried out. Your present Principal should be listed amongst confidential referees.</p>
