Teachers within the Diocese are responsible to the Principal and shares in the learning and teaching of subject matters to students of the school community. Teachers are responsible for delivering high quality contemporary learning and teaching for the community they serve which is embedded in the Catholic world view. It is a collaborative ministry of witness and service and part of the evangelising mission of the Church.

<p>The Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta is looking for a skilled, contemporary and passionate Secondary Diversity Teacher to be part of our school community and enrich the lives of our students.</p> <p dir="ltr">This is a&nbsp;Temporary Full-time position for Term 1, 2021</p> <p><strong>Key focus areas</strong></p> <p>As a member of the Diverse Learning Team, this role provides learning support services and works collaboratively with all members of the College community to create learning and social opportunities for students with diverse learning needs.</p> <p>The Secondary Diversity Teacher will fit the following criteria:</p> <p dir="ltr">* Provides classroom teachers with specialist assistance and resource support to develop the skills of those students with identified disabilities and difficulties.</p> <p dir="ltr">* Provides support for students using a variety of strategies including case management, in-class support, team teaching and small group tuition.</p> <p dir="ltr">The ability to work effectively as part of a team and well developed interpersonal and communication skills are essential.</p> <p dir="ltr">Applicants for this position must hold an under-graduate qualification in special education.</p> <p><strong>The successful candidate will also possess the following skills and/or experience:</strong></p> <ul> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Sound knowledge of and commitment to our Catholic faith and mission in Catholic education.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative teamwork.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">High quality classroom teaching skills which enable students with a diverse range of needs to achieve their full potential.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Ability to successfully implement and evaluate curriculum initiatives in accordance with curriculum and standards framework.</p> </li> <li dir="ltr" style="list-style-type: disc"> <p dir="ltr">Willingness to teach Religious Education.</p> </li> </ul> <p><strong>How to apply:</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">All applications are to include a cover letter, curriculum vitae and three (3) current professional referees.&nbsp; &nbsp; One of your referees must be your current supervisor.
