<p>Guilford Young College College is a Senior Secondary Years 11 and 12 co-educational Catholic College with an enrolment of 835 students.</p><p>Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following position:</p><p><b>Counsellor<br />4 days per week, ongoing role, term time only<br />Commencement Date: Monday 25 January 2021</b></p><p>The Counsellor is accountable for the effective delivery of professional mental health assessments and interventions and wellbeing services that contribute to providing a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment and enhancing student wellbeing and learning outcomes. </p><p> The Counsellor works autonomously at a professional level, exercising judgement and discretion to ensure that the needs of students are met, their potential is developed and a sense of autonomy is fostered. </p><p>Within the role the Psychologist / Counsellor supports the Catholic Identity and Evangelising Mission and works collaboratively with other staff and members of the school community to support students.   <br /></p><p>The Counsellor is responsible to the Director of Student Wellbeing. The Counsellor works as a member of the College’s Pastoral Team. </p><p>Guilford Young College is committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.
