The role of Professional Officer – Assistant to the Director of Catholic Education Diocese of Wagga Wagga (CEDWW) exists to ensure effective professional support to the Director in all facets of their leadership of 31 schools across the Diocese which includes the delivery of effective planning, implementation and deployment of resources to support learning and teaching, leadership and continual school improvement. The Professional Officer manages the delivery of administrative services, ensuring an effective CEDWW office for the deployment of services. The Professional Officer also provides high-quality CEDWW and Catholic Education Council management and secretariat functions. This involves maintaining work structures, systems and protocols contributing to the highly effective functioning and accountability of the office of the Director, together with the provision of executive support to the Catholic Education Council, with a major focus on governance, policy and legislative compliance and risk management. The Professional Officer scans the political and educational horizons to monitor the impact of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements and their implications for schools.
