The College is looking for a fastidious and experienced financial officer to administer the Accounts Receivable function. This is a very important role within the College finance team. The successful applicant will demonstrate a strong understanding and capability of finance and administrative procedures, commitment to customer service and confidential integrity. This is a full-time, permanent position of 76 hours per fortnight. Hours of duty are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:06pm. Please refer to the position description for full details.

<p>Marist College is a Congregational Catholic school for boys (Year 4-12) operating as part of ‘Marist Schools Australia’. It has an enrolment of approximately 1700 students, and enjoys an excellent reputation for its pastoral care of students, academic studies, cultural and sport pursuits. </p><p> This position will work closely with the College Accountant and reports to the Director of Business Services via the Finance Manager.  </p><p>The Finance Officer – Accounts Receivable gives expression to the College’s vision and mission by providing financial and administrative services in an efficient and effective manner. </p><p>Please refer to the Position Description document for full details.</p><p><b>Selection Criteria:</b></p><p>• An understanding of the Catholic ethos in an educational setting. </p><p>• High level ICT skills with experience and a strong understanding of finance/accounting         programs. </p><p>• Proven experience in general financial administration particularly with accounts receivable,   spreadsheets and reconciliations. </p><p>• A high standard of personal integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality. </p><p>• Ability to perform routine tasks with minimum direction.  </p><p>• Ability to prioritise and manage tasks in order to meet deadlines.  </p><p>• Demonstrated proficiency in record keeping and data processing skills with particular       attention to detail. </p><p>• Good interpersonal, written and oral communication skills. </p><p>• Well-developed organisational skills and initiative.  </p><p>• A positive and courteous manner when dealing with people. </p><p>• Ability to work effectively both as an individual and in a team environment.  </p><p><b>Knowledge and experience in the following would be advantageous: </b></p><p>• School financial systems </p><p>• Another College or educational institution </p><p>• Accounting software packages and other applications including Word and Excel </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p><br /></p>
