We are looking for suitably qualified and experienced applicants within a primary school environment for a Deputy Principal/Sphere Leadership role that will support the School Principal in the strategic leadership of Holy Eucharist to ensure the vision and ethos of the School are achieved.

<p><b><u>Deputy Principal/Sphere Leadership Role </u></b></p><p>Holy Eucharist Primary School, St Albans South, is seeking an experienced full-time Deputy Principal (which is attached to another Leadership Role, eg: Wellbeing), to commence in Term 1, 2021. <br /></p><p> </p><p>At Holy Eucharist Catholic Primary School, we strive to ensure that our students at our school who come from diverse backgrounds, reach their full potential. We are committed to our motto to Engage, Educate and Empower our students and staff. We aim to empower our students to take responsibility for their own learning whilst providing them with strategies and skills to prepare them for an ever-changing world. We place a strong emphasis on developing skills in literacy, numeracy and technology. These skills will assist our students in becoming critical thinkers and lifelong learners. Through the use of data, we are able to tailor a program that focuses on the individual needs of our students. We are able to provide opportunities for growth for all our students whether they have additional needs or they require extension in their learning. We believe that strong family partnerships between families and the school, make a great difference in a child’s education. </p><p><b><u>System Selection Criteria: </u></b></p><p>At Holy Eucharist School, the Deputy Principal is a key member of the leadership team. The Deputy Principal will: </p><ul><li>Support the School Principal in the strategic leadership of Holy Eucharist to ensure that the school’s vision and ethos are achieved. </li><li>Contribute to the collaborative decision-making processes and assists the Principal in the planning, implementation and evaluation of school goals.</li><li>Provide an excellent role model for staff through supporting and monitoring the learning and growth of effective teachers; and setting high standards for students and staff performance. </li></ul><p><b><u>Special Requirements: </u></b></p><p>The successful applicant should be able to provide evidence that she/he meets the criteria outlined below. </p><p><b>Applicants are required to:  </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrate a commitment to Catholic education and an understanding of the leadership role in Catholic education. ? </li><li>Demonstrate a commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children. ? </li><li>Have experience in a formally appointed leadership role within a Catholic parish primary school. A leadership role such as Wellbeing would be highly desirable.? </li><li>Have current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. ?</li><li>Have relevant, appropriate and substantial educational experience, including classroom teaching and in leadership positions, in a variety of educational settings. ? </li><li>Have relevant experience within the last five (5) years in Catholic parish primary schools.? </li><li>Be accredited to teach Religious Education in Catholic schools. ? </li></ul><p>The successful applicant will be offered ongoing employment at the school.
