<p>St Patrick&#39;s College is seeking to appoint an energetic and highly skilled English teacher with excellent communication skills and classroom experience.</p><p>The successful applicant will be committed to the Catholic ethos of the College and utilise effective learning and teaching strategies and technologies to enhance the 21st century pedagogy.</p><p><b>Essential Criteria</b><br /></p><ul><li>A strong commitment to the mission of Catholic Education and a willingness to actively support and promote the Catholic, religious, academic and pastoral dimensions of College life </li><li>Appropriate tertiary qualifications and be approved to teach in NSW </li><li>Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and experience teaching English across stages 4 - 6</li><li>Knowledge of the relevant curriculum and experience teaching Extension English would be an advantage </li><li>Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary pedagogical practices<br /></li><li>A commitment to academic excellence </li><li>An understanding of and ability to differentiate curriculum and assessment </li><li>High level communication and interpersonal skills </li><li>Ability to critically reflect on their own teaching practice </li><li>A willingness to be involved in the College&#39;s co-curricular activities </li><li>A current Working with Children Check Number (WWCC). </li><li>Classification to teach in Sydney Catholic Schools</li></ul><p>Desirable Criteria</p><ul><li>Experience teaching Advanced English and Extension English</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Applicants for the above position should provide their curriculum vitae as well as a written response to the essential criteria to principal&#64;spcsutherland.catholic.edu.au.  Applicants should supply the names, addresses and phone numbers of 3 (three) referees, including your current and most recent prior principal.</p><p>Please note that only those applicants who have been successfully in the short-listing process will receive a reply.</p>
