Endeavour College is seeking to appoint an ongoing part-time Learning Support Assistant position, working 32.5 hours per week over 41 weeks per year.

<div>The primary responsibility of this role will be to work closely and cooperatively with teaching staff to provide support for student learning in classroom, small group, and one-to-one settings. </div><div><br /></div><div>Other areas of responsibility include:</div><div><br /></div><ul><li>Undertake a wide variety of tasks associated with classroom learning experiences (e.g. providing assistance to teachers in the preparation, implementation and supervision of students through the delivery of learning programs) </li><li>Assist student learning under the direction of a teacher </li><li>Apply personal knowledge and initiative to suggest modifications to educational programs to meet the learning needs of specific students, subject to the approval of the applicable teacher </li><li>Work with students in the classroom, small groups, and 1:1 in an independent environment </li><li>Set up and maintaining appropriate (manual and electronic) confidential learning records for students</li></ul><p>A full position description is also available on the College website.</p><p>The successful candidate will be offered the opportunity of either working almost exclusively to support our students in Year 7 with a focus on transition, and supporting learning in numeracy, literacy, EALD and mathematics, <u>or</u> to work more broadly with students across Years 7 to 12 with a focus on numeracy, literacy and EALD.<br /></p><p><b>Applicants are strongly encouraged to clearly state their preference for working with either the Year 7 cohort, or across Years 7-12 cohorts more broadly within their application.</b></p><p><b>All applications should be submitted through the employment page on Endeavour College&#39;s website (www.endeavour.sa.edu.au/jobs) using the online application form, addressed to Ms Heather Vogt, Principal and include:</b></p><ul><li>Cover letter, clearly stating the position you are applying for </li><li>Resume</li><li>Current Working With Children Check (WWCC)</li><li>3 referees (preferably 2 professional incl current employer &amp; 1 pastoral)</li></ul><p><b>Applications close 9am Monday 7 December 2020</b></p><p>Endeavour College values staff who enthusiastically engage in their work as a Christian vocation that is based on caring relationships with students and staff.
