<p><b>About the Role </b></p><p> </p><p>Green Valley Islamic College is a K-12 co-educational school in Western Sydney. The College is dedicated to providing an outstanding modern education for all students ensuring their development as well-rounded individuals, prepared to meet the demands of adulthood in Australia. </p><p> </p><p>We are seeking a Digital Marketing and Engagement Officer, who will play an integral role in the next phase of growth and development at the College through innovative marketing programs and events. You will have knowledge and experience in creating digital and physical marketing material and creating and managing content across the College’s social media platforms. You will use your knowledge and experience of social media communities to help develop strategies for growth and engagement. </p><p> </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>Key responsibilities: </b></p><p> </p><p>• Design and development of the College’s social media presence across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube as well as the College website </p><p>• Developing strategies to boost the College’s social media and online presence </p><p>• Creation and design of physical and digital marketing materials </p><p>• Filming and editing photos and videos to be used for marketing purposes </p><p>• Creation of engaging content, blogs, vlogs to be posted on the College’s social media platforms. </p><p>• Design and development of monthly newsletters and ad-hoc communications in digital format </p><p>• Design and development of periodical parent/staff/student satisfaction surveys. </p><p>• Developing an annual calendar of College programs and events. Eg. College open days, sports carnivals, school fairs, parents’ morning tea etc. </p><p>• Conducting tours of the College as required. </p><p>• Must have the ability to communicate accurately and clearly both orally and in writing </p><p>• Ability to plan a social media program aligned to key dates across the year </p><p>• Monitor all GVIC social media accounts and respond where applicable in accordance with the GVIC social media policy </p><p>• Use industry benchmarks and analytics to measure and evaluate effectiveness, and devise improvements </p><p><br /></p><p> </p><p><b>About you </b></p><p> </p><p>This is opportune role for an innovative, efficient and creative individual. Your exceptional communications skills will see you engaging with various internal and external stakeholder groups. You have strong organisational and time management capabilities with keen attention to detail. </p><p> </p><p>To be considered for this role you must have: <br /></p><p> </p><p>• Knowledge and understanding of social media platforms, content creation and their respective audiences (e.g. Facebook, Instagram, Linked In, Twitter); and how they can be deployed in different scenarios </p><p>• Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to edit and proofread, and to adapt style to the platform or audience </p><p>• Proficient knowledge and experience in developing and managing social media platforms </p><p>• Experience in coordinating programs and events with a focus on acquisition and retention </p><p>• Proficient with desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and Adobe Design Studio or equivalent. </p><p>• Knowledge of SEO/SEM, Google Ads, Facebook Ads </p><p>• Experience with filming, editing and posting photos and videos online </p><p>• Excellent written and oral communication skills </p><p>• Strong stakeholder management </p><p> </p><p>Please note that applicants must be willing to undergo a Police records check and hold or be willing to obtain a working with children check for the purposes of employment.
