<p>Guilford Young College College is a Senior Secondary Years 11 and 12 co-educational Catholic College with an enrolment of 835 students </p><p> Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the following positions: </p><p><b>Teachers</b><br /><b>Commencing 25 January 2021</b></p><p></p><p>Teachers at Guilford Young College will undertake a range of pastoral and teaching related duties as guided by the Guilford Young College vision and mission statements. These duties include: </p><ul><li> active support and modelling of the Catholic ethos by participating in the prayer life and liturgical celebrations of the College  </li><li>classroom teaching utilising flexible teaching and assessment strategies </li><li>preparation, implementation and evaluation of appropriate learning programs including assessment of students and their learning needs </li><li>communicating to students the syllabus, standards, and criteria for assessment with ongoing performance feedback </li><li>for each class, maintaining accurate records of attendance, lesson planning and assessment. </li><li>observing duty of care and recording appropriate information on SIMON </li><li>timely processing of attendance and absentee data </li><li>reporting professionally to students, parents, colleagues and the appropriate authorities </li><li>participation in staff meetings, administrative processes and relevant professional teams </li><li>collaborative planning with colleagues to ensure appropriate resources and facilities are shared </li><li>willingness to provide service to the profession of teaching such as assisting colleagues, new teachers to the College and student teachers </li><li>active partnership with students&#39; families through early communication </li><li>active pastoral care and Pathway planning for students in Tutor and Pathway Planning sessions </li><li>modelling punctuality and time management </li><li>out-of-classroom student supervision and relief supervision as required </li><li>an active involvement in professional learning within and across disciplines and maintaining a Professional Pathway Profile in consultation with the Head of Faculty </li><li>adherence to the Workplace Health &amp; Safety and other policies of the College </li><li>active participation in general school activities including such things as sport, student committees, ceremonies and retreats </li><li>maintain appropriate and professional dress standards </li><li>modelling of restorative practices in relating to students, staff and parents </li><li>adherence to strict confidentiality with respect to information about students and staff </li></ul><p>Guilford Young College is committed to supporting the rights of children and young people and providing a safe and supportive environment for them.
