St John's Catholic School, Narraweena was established in 1962 and was originally operated by the Brigidine Sisters under the motto of the order 'Strength and Gentleness' which is still very much part of school life. The school is situated in the Warringah region of Sydney's north.
'At Saint John the Apostle school we strive to foster children's learning in a Christ-centred, safe and positive school environment. We seek to recognise and provide for the needs of each person so that individual potential can be realised and human dignity is promoted. We encourage
co-operation in order to empower all members of the school community, so that together we build God's kingdom with Strength and Gentleness.'
