<p>This is a full time permanent position commencing Term 1 / 2021.</p><p>De La Salle College is seeking an experienced, innovative and collaborative Director of Learning and Curriculum. </p><p> The position is an integral part of the College senior leadership team who along with the Principal will be responsible for the learning direction of the College. The position holds a 3 point Coordinator allocation with significant time release. </p><p> The role is responsible for the development of teachers in order to improve student outcomes through the delivery of a contemporary professional learning plan that effectively implements the College’s strategic priorities as identified in Annual Improvement Plans.</p><p> The Director of learning and Curriculum has responsibility for a range of areas including: </p><ul><li> contributing to and implementing the College’s mission and vision, strategic priorities and plans. </li><li>developing a culture of improvement in teaching and learning by placing teaching and learning at the centre of strategic and operational planning. </li><li>maintaining currency with contemporary educational trends and initiatives. </li><li>leading a team of Leaders of Learning in the implementation and ongoing evaluation of teaching and learning across all key learning areas. </li><li>leading the analysis and use of data to improve teacher classroom efficacy and promote student growth. </li><li>leading effective curriculum processes in subject selection and academic review of senior students. </li><li>leading the development of an explicit and effective literacy plan for all students. </li><li>leading the Newman Selective Gifted Education Program. </li><li>modelling effective and innovative learning, teaching and assessment practices in the classroom. </li><li>identifying and developing partnerships with tertiary institutions and the business sector. </li></ul><p>Applicants should address the following critieria:</p><p><b>ESSENTIAL:</b> </p><ul><li> A commitment to Catholic education, a clear understanding of the vision and mission of Catholic schools and a willingness to support the faith formation of students. </li><li>A minimum of five years experience in at least two secondary schools.</li><li>Demonstrated success in implementing an effective, sustainable educational change initiative.</li><li>Exemplary classroom practice, utilising a range of effective teaching and learning strategies.</li><li>Experience and success in managing a diverse range of stakeholder relationships. </li><li>Highly developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead professional learning to a diverse range of learners.</li><li>Ability to work in a team environment. </li></ul><p> <b>DESIRABLE: </b></p><ol><li> Post Graduate studies in Education or Educational Leadership </li><li>Formal qualifications in Religious Education/Theology </li></ol><p>Applications should be addressed to the College Principal and sent via email to the Principal&#39;s PA at: maureen.oxford&#64;syd.catholic.edu.au</p><p>Successful applications must comply with the NSW Child Protection Legislation.<br /></p><p>Applications close Thursday 10 December 2020.</p><p><br /></p>
