The Infrastructure Manager's role is to establish a new school which will be called Lysterfield Lake College. The construction budget is expected to be between $3 and $8m per year for the foreseeable future. Although we are independent, we have a Catholic ethos that infuses everything we do. All employees need to be comfortable with supporting this ethos regardless of their personal faith.

<p><b>About Us</b></p><p>PARED Victoria operates schools to raise men and women of heroic virtue. We do this through our unique Mentor System, lectures for parents, and our supporting community. In 2016 Harkaway Hills College opened with 16 students and in 2021 we expect to have over 150. One of the primary goals of the Infrastructure Manager&#39;s role is to establish a new school which will be called Lysterfield Lake College. All employees need to be comfortable with supporting this ethos regardless of their personal faith.</p><p><b>Qualifications &amp; experience</b></p><ul><li>Engineering Degree desirable.</li><li>Excel: a high level of competency required.</li><li>Lateral Thinking Skills for solving problems ranging from design to town planning.</li><li>Self Driven to ensure that projects are completed on time without any supervision.</li><li>Good with people and a positive presence to ensure that all stakeholders are happy including neighbours, council, parents, teachers, etc.</li><li>Able to handle the pressure of meeting deadlines.</li><li>Handy in order to make small repairs and be able to communicate well with tradesmen.</li><li>Ability to read architectural plans.</li><li>Appreciation for classical architecture and quality construction.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b>Tasks &amp; responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Scoping new projects by working closely with two Principals, Architect, Operations Manager, and the School Board.</li><li>Applying for Government grants.</li><li>Managing projects through working closely with the Town Planner, Architect, Project Manager, and other contractors.</li><li>Ensuring that infrastructure projects are on time, on budget, and of high quality.</li><li>Managing the maintenance of the schools by overseeing contractors such as the groundskeeper, and getting your hands dirty when needed.</li><li>Responding to requests for support from the Principals for any manual tasks such as changing light bulbs, moving chairs, etc.</li><li>The position has no direct reports but oversees many sub-contractors.</li><li>The position reports directly to the board and so requires presenting at all board meetings which may fall on Saturdays. (approximately 5/ year)</li><li>Completion of odd jobs that do not justify engaging a contractor.</li></ul>
