Heritage buildings and landscaped grounds provide an attractive educational environment.</i></p><p><b>Leader of Learning Support - Full time, permanent.</b></p><ul><li>Commencing Term 1, 2021</li><li>Full time - 1.0 FTE</li><li>Leader of Learning Support with a teaching load</li></ul><p>The College is seeking to employ an innovative <b>Leader of Learning Support</b> to lead our Learning Support team. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of working and leading Learning Support with students of diverse abilities in Years 7 to 12. </p><p>The Leader of Learning Support has the responsibility to coordinate support and monitoring of students with individual and diverse learning needs.</p><p>This role coordinates the provision of Tier 2 and Tier 3 interventions to help students improve their proficiency in literacy/numeracy and to also support individual students who have diverse learning needs.</p><p>The Leader of Learning Support assists Heads of Department and classroom teachers to meet the needs of students with additional cognitive, physical, sensory and socio-emotional needs through appropriate evidence based strategies. The Leader of Learning Support is an advocate for best practice for students with identified disabilities and/or additional needs in an inclusive environment.</p><p>As a school community, Monte places a strong emphasis on collegiality and professional development.
