The successful candidate for this role would teach Music across a range of year levels from Prep to Year 9. Experience teaching woodwind and conducting bands, as well as teaching in a second curriculum area would be advantageous. </p><p> This is a permanent opportunity and could potentially be part time (4 days per week) or full time, depending on teaching requirements and the successful candidate&#39;s experience.</p><p> </p><p><b>About you: </b></p><ul><li><b> </b>You have demonstrated excellence in teaching Music with a high degree of teaching competence across the Primary and Secondary years. In addition, the ability to conduct bands, teach woodwind and teach in other curriculum areas would be advantageous. </li><li>You possess excellent interpersonal skills and are able to communicate sensitively and confidentially with parents, students and other staff </li><li>You are able to build and maintain quality relationships in all aspects of your work </li><li>You are able to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students. </li><li>You are highly organised and take pride in the planning and preparation of your classes </li><li>You have a demonstrated understanding of current issues in education and can implement strategies to ensure optimal learning outcomes </li><li>You embrace opportunities to reflect upon your professional practice and further develop your own skills and knowledge across a variety of different areas </li><li>You enjoy collaborating with multiple stakeholders and demonstrate effective communication and a solutions-oriented approach within this environment </li><li>You identify with St Peter’s professional behaviours of trust, accountability, unconditional positive regard and open communication and feedback and apply these in all that you do </li><li>You value contributing to diverse and inclusive communities and accept the responsibility to uphold the Christian Ethos, including core values of care, dignity &amp; respect.</li></ul><p>To apply for this position, please submit your cover letter and resume via the link.
