<p>YIRARA COLLEGE </p><p>POSITION DESCRIPTION &amp; PERSON SPECIFICATION - Addendum </p><p> </p><p>College Department: Teaching &amp; Learning </p><p>Position Title: Generalist Teacher - Science </p><p>Position Code: PD EDUTL02 Addendum </p><p>Position Classification: Generalist Teacher </p><p>Tenure: Continuing </p><p> </p><p>POSITION DESCRIPTION </p><p>The Generalist Teacher - Science takes responsibility to develop and deliver a Science program to EAL/D secondary age Indigenous students across all classes as part of the Colleges&#39; Academic program. </p><p>Science </p><p>The responsibilities of the Generalist Teacher in the specialty area of Science include: </p><p>• Developing and delivering an engaging and challenging program of teaching and learning in Science. </p><p>• Contributing to the development and delivery of activities and student learning opportunities in the area of Science </p><p>• Developing and implementing the Science curriculum, program and resources. </p><p>• Being responsible for engaging and managing additional staff and external bodies or persons in the delivery of any part of the Science program. </p><p>• Being responsible for organising College Science events. </p><p>• Contributing to the preparation and submission of Science grants. </p><p>• Being responsible for the use and allocation of an annual budget in accordance with agreed purchasing of appropriate Science resources. </p><p>• Ensuring the quality management of all Science resources, including the implementation of a maintenance regime that maximises the life of all resources. </p><p>• Ensuring that the expenditure in any given annual period does not exceed the budget allocation for the same period unless specifically agreed upon by the Head of Teaching &amp; Learning. </p><p><br /></p>
