<p>The College  is seeking to fill the following position to commence term 1, 2021. This is a permanent full-time role. </p><p>                      <b>  Head of Department : English &#43; 2 point Allowance </b></p><p><b>Essential Criteria:</b> the successful applicant must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria: </p><ul><li> Appropriate teaching qualifications and accreditation in NSW </li><li> Ability to teach a combination of 7-10 English </li><li> Experience teaching Stage 6 Advanced English, Standard English and English Extension 1 </li><li>  Ability to cater to different learning abilities, including EAL/D and selective stream </li><li>  A high standard of competency and proficiency as a classroom teacher </li><li>  Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning </li><li>  An understanding of how students learn, effective classroom teaching strategies and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning </li><li> Is a contemporary leader of learning, with the capacity to lead change and demonstrate contemporary pedagogy and innovative classroom practices that focuses on improving student learning; </li><li> Develop and implement a School wide Literacy Action Plan </li><li>Work with other leaders to develop and implement an effective school wide Reading Program </li><li>Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills </li><li> Ability to work as part of a team </li><li>Can effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders and build relationships to meet the College’s strategic directions </li><li>Can analyse and use data to inform learning and engage in future planning </li><li>Have an understanding of and commitment to the School’s Christian framework, values and ethos </li></ul><p> <b>Qualification </b></p><p>• Secondary teaching qualification.
