An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Business Manager, Primary Schools to join the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) team in the Outer Eastern Region.
<ul><li>Full-time or Part-time (0.6 or 0.8 FTE) ongoing position, located throughout the Outer Eastern Region of the Archdiocese of Melbourne <br /></li><li>The Outer Eastern Region will include but not be limited to the following areas: Mansfield, Yea, Alexandra, Yarra Junction, Healesville and Lilydale with further Outer Eastern Primary Schools added to this portfolio depending on demand from Primary Schools.
</li><li>Do you have 5 years plus work experience as a Business Manager / Accountant in education or a similar setting?
</li><li>Are you interested in being a member of a finance team providing accounting and auditing advice/guidance to Primary school principals?
</li><li>Are you a fully qualified CA / CPA?
</li><li>FTE Salary $127,990.31 per annum plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee Legislation

</li></ul><p>Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) is a dynamic education service provider to 335 Catholic primary, secondary and special schools in the Archdiocese of Melbourne. More than 450 staff work across the head office in East Melbourne and four regional offices in the North, East, South and West. MACS provides services to schools in areas as diverse as Curriculum, RE, Finance, ICT, Marketing and Communications, Student Wellbeing, Legal, Planning and Industrial Relations. <b>ABOUT THE POSITION </b></p><p>
Working within the Business Services Advisory team, the successful applicants will be responsible for providing financial support directly to Principals of Catholic primary schools. The position requires demonstrated knowledge of accounting in an educational or other relevant setting and demonstrated experience dealing with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and Shared Service Centres. Travel to and working on location at approximately 10 primary schools across the Outer Eastern Region of the Archdiocese of Melbourne and also in our central office in East Melbourne will be required. </p><p><b>
TO BE SUCCESSFUL </b></p><p>
</p><p>The successful candidates must possess a Tertiary qualification in business management and / or accounting; full membership to Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand or CPA Australia; experience as a Business Manager of a school or a comparable role in another industry; experience in leading and managing school improvement grounded in the ethos of a Catholic educational environment or similar; ability to develop and lead projects; outstanding communication and relationship building skills with staff, parents, suppliers and other key stakeholders; and a willingness to work independently at primary schools in different locations on a rotating fortnightly basis. Location for work during School holiday periods would be based at the CEM East Melbourne office.
</p><p>Experience with using (ERP) systems and exposure to a Shared Service Centre (SSC) business model will be advantageous. Previous experience with Technology One and Synergetic also an advantage.
</p><p>The successful applicants will also be subject to a Working with Children Check and a National Police Record Check and also hold a current Victorian Driver’s Licence as travel to approximately 6-10 schools/locations per fortnight will be required (depending on FTE).
