<h5>The College Counsellors play a central role in assisting the Wellbeing Team to facilitate the College&#39;s educational, pastoral and evangelising mission as a co-educational, Year 7 - 12 College.  Central to this role is knowing the students and their families, and collaborating with the College Leaders of Wellbeing and College Leadership Team in the ongoing support of students.<br />Selection criteria:  </h5><h5><br />Essential<ul><li>Contribute to the Catholic life of the College.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse team which is focused on the importance of student wellbeing.</li><li>Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology or related disciplines.</li><li>Membership of one of the following:   Registered Psychologist;  Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW);  Clinical Member of Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA).</li></ul><b>Experience:</b><ul><li>Experience working with school-aged children.</li><li>Experience working in schools an advantage.</li></ul>Essential Knowledge &amp; Competencies Required<ul><li>Demonstrated ability to work therapeutically with children with emotional and/or behavioural needs.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and engage with multiple stakeholders.</li><li>Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.</li><li>Capacity to work across multicultural settings.</li><li>An understanding of current child protection legislation.</li><li>A willingness and capacity to take initiative and work independently.</li></ul></h5><h4></h4><h4></h4><h5><p></p></h5><p></p><h5><b><br /></b></h5>
