Business / Finance Manager

Contract Type: Permanent/Ongoing Position Part Time (0.70 FTE)

This is a part-time (negotiable) fixed-term position commencing in April (date negotiable), for a 3-year period with the option to extend, based on successful review.

<p><b>Essential Selection Criteria </b></p><p>1. A positive interest and willingness to learn about Rudolf Steiner Education and Anthroposophy. </p><p>2. Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualifications and a minimum of 3 years of financial / business / commercial experience. </p><p>3. Hold and maintain a NSW Working with Children Check </p><p>4. Extensive experience with financial databases, financial forecasting and budgeting. </p><p>5. Exceptional communication skills both written and oral including the ability to engage and work with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders at all levels managing a diverse range of projects. </p><p>6. Well-developed strategic planning skills. </p><p>7. High level understanding of best practice and policy in human resources, employee relations and risk management. </p><p>8. Experience in facilities management, contract management, and budget management </p><p>9. Demonstrated ability to plan, organise and manage maintenance, building, and renovation projects to budget and of high quality </p><p><b>Desirable Selection Criteria: </b></p><p>a) Personal philosophies that align with Rudolf Steiner Education and Anthroposophy, including willingness to participate in staff Eurythmy and other training. </p><p>b) Minimum of three years’ experience working in a school environment </p><p>c) Knowledge of, and experience in, day to day accounting procedures, financial management, and strategic development in an educational setting including accounts payable and receivable, banking procedures and reconciliation, preparation, and presentation of monthly reports, asset management, risk management, budget preparation, and management, and financial statements. </p><p>d) Experience as a Workplace, Health, and Safety Officer </p><p>e) Experience in property/project management </p><p>f) Demonstrated high order organisational, planning, and communication skills. </p><p><b>The Business / Finance will be responsible for: </b></p><p>• Work with and support the Head of School </p><p>• Collaboration in and provide reports / information to meetings, including: Finance Committee, Management Meetings as required, Administration team Meetings, Marketing Committee Meetings and Board Meetings. </p><p>• Support the Head of School and Management Team in human resource management functions. </p><p>• Management and supervision of the financial functioning of the schooling, including: payroll, ATO returns, manage school Hub reporting, Financial Reporting, Insurance, Bank reporting and cash flow management, management and supervision of debtors, bursary application policy &amp; process, term fee billing and Management and supervision of monthly GL reconciliation, general ledger, weekly accounts payable. </p><p>• Other duties include: company secretary administrator, National Redress Scheme Coordinator, Complispace Project Implementation Coordinator, Supplier Contract management, Grant Applications, Commbiz Administrator, and MEA negotiation coordinator.</p><p> </p><p> </p>
