Townsville Catholic Education Office is looking for a dynamic and innovative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join the marketing team on a Fixed Term Contract covering a period of Maternity Leave.

Our staff is recognised as being central to achieving our mission. </p><p><b><u>About the Role </u></b></p><p>Townsville Catholic Education Office is looking for a dynamic and innovative Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join the marketing team on a Fixed Term Contract covering a period of Maternity Leave. </p><p>The Marketing and Communications Coordinator is charged with providing professional advice to school and Townsville Catholic Education Office (TCEO) system leaders on the implementation of TCE’s brand, marketing and communications plans and campaigns (including school-level strategies, plans, campaigns and projects). The position also coordinates the execution, review and refinement of these initiatives on the basis of evidence and an understanding of system and school context. </p><p>The Marketing and Communication Coordinator takes a consultative approach – working closely with Principals and other school leaders – to identify upcoming support needs in advance, plan the delivery of support (drawing on both TCEO, school and outsourced resources), and review progress against plans and adjust support accordingly. </p><p><b>Key Accountabilities </b></p><p>The role of the Marketing and Communication Coordinator is to: </p><ul><li>Provide advice to inform the development of the TCEO brand, marketing and communications strategies. </li><li>Liaise proactively with school leaders to understand school needs and inform the development of marketing plans – ensuring alignment with TCE’s strategic pillars and the Catholic ethos. </li><li>Coordinate the provision of creative and operational support to schools to execute marketing plans on both a proactive and ad-hoc basis. Support will encompass the areas of brand development, graphic design, multimedia, copywriting and other content creation and will involve managing external vendors. </li><li>Manage enterprise-wide communication projects and activities, including the development of formal project plans, budgets, supporting documents, evaluating metrics, records and registers. </li><li>Manage and maintains effective key stakeholder relationships, including with key media, agencies and suppliers to build brand awareness and create media opportunities. </li><li>Maintain current and relevant knowledge on best practice and regulatory requirements for electronic and non-electronic marketing, privacy, copyright, protocol and consent as they relate to Marketing, and acts as a conduit between TCE and the Townsville Diocese and other relevant bodies (e.g. Qld Catholic Education Commission) in these matters. </li><li>Draw on this current knowledge to manage Marketing and Communication capacity building initiatives across TCE and provide advice and mentoring to school staff regarding the continuous development of professional skills in this area. </li><li>Proactively identify risks to school market share and reputation, and coordinate and leads discussion with key stakeholders on critical risks. </li><li>Identify potential media and other public relations support for TCE and its schools, and provides operational support to TCEO’s response to these opportunities. </li><li>Contribute to the planning and execution of major events (e.g. Mulkadee; Catholic Education Week), and manage the delivery of promotional campaigns on-time and on-budget. </li></ul><p><b><u>About You </u></b></p><p><b>Experience </b></p><ul><li>Considerable experience in an advisory position with a whole-of enterprise remit in a complex organisation. </li><li>Experience in preparing marketing plans, including budget provision, timelines, risk and stakeholder management, to achieve objectives such and enrolment increase and reputation management. </li><li>Experience in coaching and mentoring school staff to implement Marketing and Communication activities. </li><li>Experience in media management, social media management, video production, photography and digital media tracking systems. </li><li>Demonstrated experience in marketing, brand management and advertising including knowledge of graphic design, printing processes and resources involved. </li><li>Demonstrated experience working on planning/steering committees. </li></ul><p><b>Knowledge </b></p><ul><li>Demonstrated working understanding of the Australian P-12 education market, particularly in the North Queensland region, and the role of the Catholic Education sector in this market. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to coordinate a combination of internal and external resources to deliver marketing support to clients and stakeholders. </li><li>Demonstrated ability to manage projects and campaigns on-time and on-budget. </li><li>Strong copywriting and multimedia content development skills, and an ability to provide effective guidance to third party content providers. </li><li>Demonstrated customer-centric approach to service delivery, including an ability to tailor plans to clients’ specific context and challenges. </li></ul><p><b>Skills </b></p><ul><li>Outstanding interpersonal skills, including an ability to build and maintain productive relationships with a broad stakeholder group. </li><li>Demonstrated conflict resolution skills. </li><li>High attention to detail with an ability to balance competing deadlines and manage multiple tasks. </li><li>Resilience in managing stress situations. </li><li>Ability to work with colleagues in a professional, informed, flexible and caring manner. </li><li>Well-developed capacity for creative and strategic thinking in the areas of problem-solving and future directions. </li></ul><p><b>Mandatory Criteria </b></p><ul><li>Current Working with Children Suitability Card - The successful candidate will require a paid Blue Card before commencement as per the No Card, No Start policy developed by Queensland Government </li><li>Relevant Tertiary Qualification – i.e. Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or similar </li><li>Current Driver’s Licence </li><li>Ability to travel from time to time within the Catholic Diocese of Townsville </li><li>Ability to perform the physical requirements of the role in a safe manner. </li><li>Some employees may be subject to pre-employment medical assessments during the selection process.
