<p></p> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About Us</strong><br> <br>Creating positive outcomes for our students and enriching our school communities is at the heart of everything we do at the Catholic Schools Office - Diocese of Broken Bay. We support 44 Catholic primary and secondary schools across Sydney's North, Northern Beaches and Central Coast and educate over 17,000 students.<br> <br><strong>About the role</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This is one of 3 newly created positions. You will engage with groups of secondary students and connect them with industry to enable them to understand if and how their interests can translate to career pathways after school. Each position will cover a specific geographic area; North Shore, Northern Beaches or Central Coast.<br> <br><strong>Responsibilities include:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Organise a broad range of unique Pathways experiences and opportunities for students, from year 7 - 12, by connecting their learning at school to the world of work.</li> <li>Work alongside teaching staff to embed the content and opportunities of the Pathways program into curriculum delivery.</li> <li>Provide schools with connections and partnerships with a variety of industries and local communities.</li> <li>Collaborate with the teaching, pastoral and careers advisory staff to connect students with opportunities and resources to help them explore workplace options.</li> <li>Develop and maintain relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders including schools staff, parents and industry partners.</li> </ul> <p dir="ltr"><strong>About you</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">To be successful in this role you will be a leader who is skilled at coaching others and quickly builds strong, trusting relationships. You will have experience as a Group Training Provider, Youth Unemployment or Careers Advisor and are looking to use your industry networks and genuine passion for helping individuals reach their potential. You will also:</p> <ul> <li>Have values that align with the ethos of Catholic Education.</li> <li>Be an independent entrepreneurial self-starter.</li> <li>Have worked with groups of young people from diverse backgrounds.</li> <li>Have established strong networks in a broad range of commercial settings.</li> <li>Be a highly organised and collaborative team player.</li> <li>An innovative creative thinker who brings fresh ideas.</li> <li>An active listener who is confident when interacting with a diverse range of stakeholders.</li> <li>Possess the ability to work with ambiguity at times and can turn this into clear direction.</li> </ul> <p><strong>The rewards</strong></p> <p dir="ltr">This is a newly created, full time permanent position where you will be reporting to the Education Officer - Pathways and Partnerships at school settings in allocated area as well as in the Pennant Hills head office as required.
