<p>Trinity Lutheran College is a Kindergarten to Year 12 Christian co-educational college and an International Baccalaureate World School for the Primary Years Programme (PYP.) Located in Ashmore on Queensland’s beautiful Gold Coast, it also offers an on-site Early Learning Centre. </p><p>We are seeking an experienced Christian educator with the vision, commitment and skills for effective leadership and management of our Pastoral Care and Wellbeing program. This is a full-time permanent teaching position with added responsibilities for a tenure of 3 years renewable under the terms and conditions of the current Queensland Lutheran Schools Single Enterprise Agreement 2020. </p><p><b>Overview of the position: </b></p><p>The Head of Wellbeing Years 6 to 12 is a member of the campus and college leadership team and provides leadership and management of the wellbeing of staff and student pastoral care programs, student character and leadership development, and relational management. </p><p>The Head of Wellbeing (Years 6 – 12) is responsible for: </p><ul><li>Oversight of pastoral care and wellbeing programs and initiatives for staff and students reflecting contemporary best practices for co-educational Christian education </li><li>Providing leadership and advice regarding pastoral care and wellbeing matters for both students and staff</li><li>Establishing a positive student culture and developing a strong sense of community that reflect the core Trinity values enabling students to flourish now, and well into their future engagement in a globally connected society</li><li> Seeking to effect/enact continual improvement in response to latest research and best practice pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives</li><li>Consult, advise, co-operate and provide effective leadership and management in matters of school policy, organisation, practice and strategic direction with respect to pastoral care and wellbeing of students and staff</li></ul><p>The successful candidate will have a record of success in pastoral care and wellbeing initiatives coupled with the ability to lead and mentor a team. </p><p><b>Selection criteria: </b></p><ul><li>Be committed to growing and practicing one’s Christian faith</li><li>Be able to provide leadership and supportive of the Christian ethos of Trinity Lutheran College as a Lutheran school</li><li>Demonstrated ability to improve the culture of the college through the implementation of best practice wellbeing initiatives for both students and staff</li><li>Demonstrated leadership ability to think strategically and laterally in pastoral care, and to make sound judgements to realise the strategic vision of the college.
