This is a permanent part-time role and will be required to work at multiple schools.</strong></p> <p>The Successful candidate should have <strong>Violin</strong>&nbsp;tutoring experience.</p> <p><strong>The CAPTIVATE Instrumental Tutor undertakes the following roles and responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Provide instrument-specific teaching to students both in small groups and, where requested, individually on a weekly basis both during school time and before or after school depending on spacing availability and student timetables.</li> <li>Provide regular feedback to students and biannual reports to parents.</li> <li>Provide instrument-specific knowledge to develop ensembles in both rehearsal and performance before and after school.</li> <li>Provide instrument-specific knowledge to enhance the work of the Specialist teacher in the delivery of classroom-based programs (e.g. band or strings) on a weekly basis during school time.</li> <li>Willingness and ability to deliver the classroom program when the assigned Specialist Teacher is away.</li> <li>Lead ensembles and workshops under the guidance of the Specialist Teacher both during school time and after school.</li> <li>Provide assessment, maintenance and cleaning, tagging and logging of instruments.</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You:</strong></p> <p>To be successful in this highly rewarding role you will demonstrate alignment to the core purpose and values of CEDP along with:</p> <ul> <li>The teaching agility to cater for students needs to maximise student learning.</li> <li>Focus on providing a safe and environment for students.</li> <li>Sound understanding of the learning environments, lesson plans, use of technology, teaching practices and delivery of assessment and learning feedback.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to work creatively and constructively to support diverse needs.</li> <li>Ability to motivate students to achieve and to develop a life-long love of learning.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Qualifications and accreditations:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Tertiary qualification in the relevant criteria.</li> <li>Demonstrated experience as a String Tutor.</li> <li>Compliance with NSW Child Protection Legislation - Working with Children Check&nbsp;clearance.</li> <li>Statements of Service</li> </ul> <p><strong>Interested?</strong></p> <p>The appointment of successful applicants will be subject to satisfactory employment screening for child-related employment including the completion of a National Police Check, retention of a valid Working with Children Check and adoption and compliance with CEDP’s Child Safeguarding Procedures and Code of Conduct When Working with Students and Children.
