Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College is seeking an energetic Languages Teacher for a Temporary one year position (2022) as we transition our languages program. Experience in any one of these languages are ideal but not essential: French, Spanish, Italian. Second teaching subject would be advantageous.

<p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><div>The College is seeking an experienced Teacher of Languages to join our Languages Faculty on a temporary full time basis for 2022.</div><div><br /></div><div>Successful applicants for this position will have a demonstrated record of developing positive relationships with students.</div><div><br /></div><div><b>Key Selection Criteria:</b></div><ol><li>A working understanding of, and overt commitment to the ethos of a Catholic School in the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Tradition.</li><li>Secondary Teaching Qualifications.</li><li>Demonstrated experience teaching a language to secondary school students. </li><li>Work collaboratively with other teachers to design inquiry based learning experiences where students exercise choice to demonstrate knowledge and understanding.</li><li>Enhance social skills and nurture the growth of enterprise skills including critical thinking, creativity, communication and collaboration for each student.</li><li>Use digital technology as an enabler and accelerator for student and teacher learning.</li><li>Use diagnostic data, summative data and formative data, including observations, annotations and work samples, to inform ‘next steps’ for students.</li><li>Demonstrated deep understanding of curriculum and pedagogy and how these underpin successful engagement and learning.</li><li>Regularly provide students with feedback as part of the teaching and learning cycle.</li><li>Be open to growth and development through professional learning experience which includes practice analysis conversations, classroom observations.</li></ol><div><br /></div><div><b>Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></div><ol><li>WWCC Clearance </li><li>Classification to work in Sydney Catholic Schools</li><li>Good communication, empathy and relationship building skills.</li><li>Honesty, integrity and authenticity in dealings with parents, students and colleagues.</li></ol><div><b>Applications Close: 31 July at 3pm</b></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="https://forms.gle/ma3Mn3c7FGT578m98" rel="nofollow"><b>Teacher Application Form</b></a></div>
