At The Scots School Albury we are committed to personalized learning that will support, extend, and challenge each learner. We seek to guide our learners to reach their academic and personal potential. Students in our Inclusive Education program receive specialized assistance through our dedicated staff, working in collaboration with parents and the pastoral and academic teams of the school. </p><p><b>Applicants for this role will ideally have </b></p><ul><li>Experience in working with students K-12. </li><li>Postgraduate qualifications focusing on leadership or education (preferred) together with current NSW Registration or eligibility for NSW Teacher Registration. </li><li>Broad experience in a strategic educational leadership role, together with experience in the leadership, strategy, staff, budget, curriculum, and broader school operation. </li></ul><p><b>The Role </b></p><p>The Leader of Inclusive Education at The Scots School Albury is a Higher Duties tenured position held in conjunction with a complementary teaching load. </p><p>The Leader of Inclusive Education coordinates the implementation of Individual Learning Plans across the School (K-12), for all students who require an individual learning plan. This includes: </p><ul><li>Students who have funding for specific disabilities and disorders. </li><li>Students who have additional learning needs and require an adjusted or alternate school program. </li><li>Students who have experienced trauma such as refugees and asylum seekers, victims of family violence. </li><li>Students who are gifted or talented and require extension. </li></ul><p>The Leader of Inclusive Education will work closely with the Heads of Sections and Principal to develop policies and guidelines in relation to education provision for students with additional learning needs and gifted education. </p><p>The position requires a teaching role of approximately 0.2FTE </p><p><b>How to apply for roles: </b></p><p>All applicants must be eligible to work in Australia, and successful applicants must gain a NSW working with children check before they commence employment. </p><p>All teaching staff must hold current registration with the NSW Educational Standards Authority (NESA).
